Where FLUX 3 is strongest
- Length: 20 seconds in one generation covers a full product demo or a short narrative beat without stitching. Only a few models go further, such as Seedance 2.5 at 30 seconds.
- Dialogue: multilingual speech with lip-sync is built in. For talking-head and UGC-style clips, that is FLUX 3's clearest edge over Kling 3.
- Control: keyframes and video continuation let you direct a sequence shot by shot, and draft mode keeps iteration cheap at $0.06 per second.
- Text in the frame: BFL's FLUX image models are known for prompt accuracy and legible text, and FLUX 3 shares that training approach, which helps for labels, signage and UI shots.
Where Veo 3.1 still wins
- Polish: textures, lighting and environments that need little retouching, especially for real estate, travel and food.
- Cheap entry tier: Veo 3.1 Lite starts at $0.05 per second at 720p, well below FLUX 3's HD rate.
- Predictability: a mature model with a fixed 8-second format that many teams have already tuned prompts for.
Where Kling 3 still wins
- Human motion: walking, dancing, turning and hands stay the most coherent of the three.
- Price: about $0.07 to $0.17 per second depending on tier and audio, the lowest of the three for 1080p.
- Multi-shot: up to six scenes in one request for short narratives.
What BFL's benchmark does and does not say
BFL published a preference study on 10-second 720p clips: raters preferred an early FLUX 3 candidate over Luma Ray 3.2 in 93% of comparisons and over Runway Gen-4.5 in 77%, but only 52% over Gemini Omni Flash and Seedance 2.0. Three caveats: it is the vendor's own study, it used a pre-release candidate, and it did not include Veo 3.1 or Kling 3. Read it as "competitive with the leaders", not as a ranking.
