FLUX 3 Video: per-second rates

BFL sells API usage in credits worth $0.01 each, but the price list is easier to read per second of generated video:

ModeHDFull HDQHD (2560×1440)UHD (3840×2176)
Text-to-video / image-to-video$0.17/s$0.29/s$0.40/s$0.80/s
Draft$0.06/s---
Video continuation$0.43/s$0.54/s--
Video-to-video--$0.80/s$0.95/s

Text-to-video and image-to-video go up to 20 seconds; video continuation is capped at 15 seconds. Audio is generated with every clip and is not billed separately.

What a clip actually costs

ClipCost at BFL list price
5 seconds, Full HD$1.45
10 seconds, HD$1.70
10 seconds, HD, draft$0.60
10 seconds, Full HD$2.90
20 seconds, Full HD$5.80
20 seconds, 4K$16.00

The practical way to keep FLUX 3 affordable is to iterate in draft mode at $0.06 per second, then render only the chosen prompt at full quality.

FLUX 3 Image pricing

FLUX 3 Image launched on October 1, 2026 on the same API. Prices scale with resolution, from about $0.041 per image at 768 px square to $0.607 at 4K. BFL ran a 50% introductory discount until October 8, 2026, which brought the entry price to about $0.02 per image. JSON layouts and pixel-locked editing are included in the per-image price.

How FLUX 3 compares on price

ModelPer second (list)10-second clip
FLUX 3, Full HD$0.29$2.90
Veo 3.1 Fast with audio (fal)$0.15$1.20 (8s)
Kling 3 Standard with audio (fal)$0.126$1.26
MiniMax H3$0.13$1.30
Seedance 2.0, 1080p (BytePlus)$0.37$3.70

At Full HD, FLUX 3 sits at the upper end of the market, below Seedance 2.0 at 1080p but roughly twice the price of Kling 3 or MiniMax H3. You pay for length, built-in dialogue and the 4K option. More providers are compared in our October 2026 pricing comparison.

A month of FLUX 3 at volume

Take 500 ten-second Full HD clips a month: $1,450 at BFL list price, or $300 if every clip stays in draft mode. On VideoGenAPI, FLUX 3 Max (fal's post-trained FLUX 3 Video, tuned for prompt adherence and lower latency) costs $0.25 per second at 720p and $0.40 at 1080p, from your balance: the same 500 ten-second 720p clips cost $1,250. That is above BFL's list price; what you get is one key and one bill next to Kling 3, Veo 3.1 or MiniMax H3, which are included in plans. If you only need FLUX 3, or need 4K or FLUX 3 Image, go to BFL directly.

Cost-control checklist

  • Draft first. Iterate at $0.06 per second; render the winner.
  • Pick the smallest resolution that ships. Social feeds recompress 4K; Full HD is usually enough.
  • Cap duration in code. A 20-second default doubles your bill compared with 10 seconds.
  • Route by job. Send motion-heavy clips to Kling 3 and dialogue to FLUX 3; see the FLUX 3 comparison.
